Rottweiler is the domestic dog of large size used to herd livestock. The Rottweiler is one of the oldest of herding breeds. A multi-faceted herding and stock protection dog.  The Rottweiler dog have abundant strength, black coated with clearly defined rich tan marking. The colour and markings of a Rottweiler are very distinctive. A Rottweiler standards for coat colour  is black with well-defined mahogany or rust coloured marking . The weight of Rottweiler must be relative to height. 









The Rottweilers are relatively healthy, disease free breed. The temperament of Rottweiler is good-natural,placid in basic disposition, very devoted, obedient, biddable and eager to work. The Rottweiler has a muscular , massive powerful body with broad head and round forehead. The medium sized eyes are dark and almond shaped with blue, blue and brown colour. The ears are triangular and carried forward. The coat is short, hard and thick. Black with rust to mahogany markings on the cheeks, muzzle, paws and legs. The Rottweiler is descended from the Italian Mastiff.  It was bred in the German town of Rottweiler in Wurttemberg. Rottweiler (GRC) Club established in 1907 and 










The Rottweiler standard were than set.  AKC recognized the Rottweiler in 1931. The Rottweiler talents are tracking, herding, watchdog, guarding, search and rescue, guide dog for the blind, police work, carting, competitive, obedience and schutzhund. The Rottweiler is powerful, calm, trainable, courageous and devoted to its owner and family. Loyal and protective, it will defend its family fiercely if needed. The Rottweiler male height 24-27 inches and of female 22-25 inches. The weight of male 43-59 and 38-52 kg female. The smooth, glossy coat is easy to groom. This breed is an average shedder. The Rottweiler do well in apartment if it is sufficiently excised. The Rottweiler  needs plenty of exercise. They need daily walk or jog. The life expectancy is 10-12 years.
